When I wrote about the usefulness of current events yesterday, I forgot all about the mission to Mars. Fortunately, though, the folks at Saatchi in Australia didn’t. This is a really nice ad.

Beck’s Brews its Brand with Eco-Friendly Promo
What makes a great beer? The folks at Beck’s believe that beer should be created with real ingredients by people with open minds. To spread this message and to set the Beck’s brand apart from competitors, the beer company built Europe’s largest moss graffiti over a four-week period. Each week, Beck’s added a new brand element — including young, free, and open-minded — to the eco-friendly promotional product.

McDonald’s: Why Your Burger Doesn’t Look Like the One in the Ad
This is some pretty ingenious marketing.

Okay, this is pretty amazing. AlmapBBDO produced this spot, which uses 873 Getty stills to tell a man’s life story. And I didn’t realize it before reading the YouTube comments, but the creative team slipped a few Easter eggs in there as well. I don’t know if this will improve your perception of stock photography, but the spot itself looks sure to win major awards.

Men Can Stop Rape’s new College Bystander Intervention campaign.
Actual good anti rape campaign posters! They don’t shame victims, they ask people to examine their own actions and inactions and protect their friends. And not in a gross excuse for chivalry either, just as people keeping people safe.
I like this.
Yep I agree. I also like how it’s not tying a man taking action around rape to some imaginary alpha male/hypermasculine sort of thing. Like a real man would do such and such.
Hey look! It’s an anti-rape campaign based on being a decent human being! In all seriousness, this is marvelous. I bolded the above for emphasis.

Took me a little while to make sense of this but once I got it I loved it!
